Abstract
⺠Procyanidins are catabolised after 24-48 h of colonic fermentation. ⺠Qualitative and cuantitative differences are observed between colonic fermentation of catechin and epicatechin. ⺠Alkaloids are not metabolized by the colonic microflora.
