Abstract
⺠Studies related to speciation of arsenic in wines from Europe have been reported, but not for the wine of South America. ⺠The main motivation of this work was then to know the distribution of the species of arsenic in white wine produced on this continent. ⺠Arsenic was chosen for speciation because of its toxicity and relatively high concentration naturally found in some regions of South America. ⺠The use of ICP-MS as a detector of LC allows the determination of very low concentrations of arsenic species in wine.
