Abstract
⺠Holotrichia parallela is an edible insect and is used as a drug in China. ⺠Its water and ethanolic extracts revealed potent antioxidant activity. ⺠Phenolics and proteins play a role in antioxidant activity. ⺠Insects are potential sources of natural antioxidants.
