Abstract
⺠We optimise a methodology for determining total selenium in food matrices. ⺠We study selenium content in selected high consumption food from Argentinean diet. ⺠We estimate their contribution to the Se dietary intake. ⺠This information is currently scarce or absent in Argentina. ⺠More survey is strongly recommended from results suggesting a deficient Se intake.
