Abstract
⺠Differences in flavonoids were observed in Brancellao berries of shoulders and tips. ⺠Accumulation of anthocyanins in skins was higher in the shoulders than in the tips. ⺠Flavonol content in flesh was highest in the tips. ⺠Blockage of phloem elements in the berry can explain the different influx of solutes. ⺠At harvest, contents of anthocyanins and flavonols were similar at both positions.
