Abstract
⺠The subunits of scale collagens were studied by chromatography. ⺠The subunit compositions of scale collagens change with season. ⺠The summer collagens had higher thermostability than the winter equivalents. ⺠The winter collagens had lower contents of α1 chain than the summer equivalents.
