Abstract
												⺠We develop a new SPE method to purify sesquiterpene lactones in chicory extracts. ⺠Methanol/water mixtures acidified by formic acid lead to higher recoveries. ⺠Optimised solvent system enables the simultaneous extraction of phenols.
