Abstract
⺠Water impacts on mechanical, thermal properties of films. ⺠Liquid and vapour permeability to water through iota-carrageenan film are similar. ⺠A great difference of water transfers displayed for alginate film (Schroeder paradox). ⺠Water activity for film conditioning induced or not surface swelling and wettability.
