Abstract
⺠Coupled transfers of aroma and water through treated papers (variable RH gradient). ⺠Treatment of paper more important than effect of RH gradient on the transfers. ⺠Paper treatments can reduce transfers of water and aroma for packaging. ⺠Complexity of the interactions between water, aroma compounds and packaging. ⺠Water can be in competition with aroma compounds for sorption in the paper.
