Abstract
⺠We compare the antihypertensive effect of WEML and GABA in SHR rats. ⺠WEML and GABA lower systolic blood pressure (SBP) transiently. ⺠SBP-lowering effect of WEML is higher than GABA alone. ⺠WEML also inhibits angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) activity. ⺠WEML lowers SBP in vivo that may involve ACE inhibition in addition to GABA.
