Abstract
⺠Powder from Shochu distillation remnants (PSDR) decreases melanin in B16 cells. ⺠PSDR decreases cellular tyrosinase activity without cytotoxicity. ⺠Antioxidative capacity of PSDR correlates with inhibition of melanin biosynthesis. ⺠Polyphenols are active components of PSDR for antimelanogenesis of B16 cells.
