Abstract
⺠Chestnut honeys were characterized by the occurrence of pollens from 91 taxa. ⺠Castanea sativa was the over-represented taxon. ⺠Main compounds of chestnut catkins were acetophenone, methyl salicylate and nonanal. ⺠Main components of honeys were 2-aminoacetophenone, benzaldehyde and acetophenone. ⺠Data analysis showed Corsican honeys distribution according to interannual climatic variation; honeybee foraging behaviour.
