Abstract
► Two licorice species were identified. ► A simple method was developed to analyse 15 bioactive components. ► Only Glycyrrhiza uralensis was found to contain quercetin. ► G. uralensis had slightly better radical scavenging activity. ► G. uralensis also had higher reducing ability.
