Abstract
⺠We surveyed 48 polyphenolic profiles of 147 grape accessions from 16 Vitis species. ⺠Anthocyanins were predominantly nonacylated in most wild Vitis species. ⺠Wild Vitis species had about 2-10 folds higher phenolic contents than Vitis vinifera. ⺠Wild Vitis species had both mono- and di-glucoside anthocyanins. ⺠Many germplasm accessions with high content of phenolic compounds were identified.
