Abstract
► We surveyed 48 polyphenolic profiles of 147 grape accessions from 16 Vitis species. ► Anthocyanins were predominantly nonacylated in most wild Vitis species. ► Wild Vitis species had about 2-10 folds higher phenolic contents than Vitis vinifera. ► Wild Vitis species had both mono- and di-glucoside anthocyanins. ► Many germplasm accessions with high content of phenolic compounds were identified.
