Abstract
► Anisomeles indica extract and compounds showed anti-Helicobacter pylori activity. ► Ovatodiolide (OVT) inhibited H. pylori reference and multidrug-resistant strains. ► OVT inhibited H. pylori adhesion and invasion to gastric epithelial (AGS) cells. ► OVT inhibited NF-κB activation and IL-8 expressions in H. pylori-infected AGS cells. ► OVT attenuated cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA) functions.
