Abstract
⺠We evaluate six Indian plants for their antidiabetic potential in vitro. ⺠Aqueous plant extracts enhance insulin secretion activity of INS-1 cells. ⺠Some plant extracts also stimulate glucose consumption in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. ⺠The results reflect the presence of some bioactive compounds in these plants.
