Abstract
► We isolated a new cerebroside and nine glycolipids from the aerial parts of Orostachys japonicus. ► Some of the glycolipids inhibited fatty acid synthase (FAS) with micromolar IC50 values. ► The glycolipids with FAS inhibitory activity showed cytotoxic activity against HL-60 and A549 cancer cells. ► Our findings may provide a scientific basis for a folk remedy, using the plant to treat cancer.
