Abstract
► Canola oil effects on fatty acids and gene expression in abalone are compared with fish oil supplementation. ► Canola oil supplementation up to 50% achieves the high total n-3 PUFA, EPA and DHA levels as fish oil. ► Δ-6 desaturase and elongase 2 gene expression increases in a graded manner by increasing canola oil levels.
