Abstract
⺠Eucalyptus globulus essential oil shows antimicrobial potential against the range of food spoiling microorganisms. ⺠Significantly higher antimicrobial activity was observed in vapour phase. ⺠Higher percentage of monoterpene hydrocarbons (54.7%) present in the vapours as compared to oil (44.5%) could be responsible for the higher antimicrobial activity.
