Abstract
⺠The first successful entrapment of CWI within gelatin hydrogel has been reported. ⺠The immobilisation was complete without loss or leakage of enzyme. ⺠Obtained biocatalyst is cheap and available in large amount. ⺠Very stable biocatalyst even at high temperatures and with long shelf-life. ⺠Obtained biocatalyst can be easily separated from the reaction mixture.
