Abstract
► The sweet intensity was measured by using the cells expressing sweet-taste receptor. ► NHDC and cyclamate enhanced the response of the sweet-taste receptor. ► We identified a residue for NHDC in eliciting a synergistic potentiation. ► Our study may provide additional insight into receptor-based synergisms of sweetness.
