Abstract
⺠Two nonfluorescent chlorophyll catabolites (NCCs) have been described in pepper fruits for the first time. ⺠It has been shown for the first time that NCCs are resistant to the digestion process. ⺠It has been shown for the first time that NCCs can be absorbed by human intestinal cells.
