Abstract
► A selective CPE method was proposed for Fe(II) determination in presence of Fe(III). ► The feasibility of iron speciation in beer has been demonstrated based on CPE. ► Fe(II) could be directly extracted from the sample without pretreatment. ► The method enables the determination of iron in beer samples without matrix effects. ► To simplify and improve the speed of beer analysis, digestion was avoided.
