Abstract
► Five flavonoids were isolated from acai pulp; four of them were identified from this plant for the first time. ► Antioxidant activities of the five flavonoids were assessed by ORAC. ► Anti-inflammatory effects of these five flavonoids were evaluated by SEAP assay, which was designed to measure NF-κB activation. ► The uncommon flavone velutin was found to be a strong NF-κB inhibitor.
