Abstract
► Numerous potatoes genotypes were analysed for phenolics and antioxidant capacity. ► Chlorogenic acid was the most abundant phenolic. ► Rutin and kaempferol-3-rutinose were the most abundant flavonols. ► Total phenolics ranged from 1.8 to 11 mg/g DW and antioxidants from 27 to 219 μmol TE/g DW. ► Total phenolics and antioxidants compared favourably to 15 other analysed vegetables.
