Abstract
⺠Toxic tropane alkaloids are reported as contaminants of commercial buckwheat. ⺠A new method based on GC-MS in SI mode was developed for their detection. ⺠The method was applied and validated for buckwheat flour and derived products. ⺠LOD for atropine, scopolamine is 0.3, 1 μg/kg and LOQ is 1, 6 μg/kg, respectively. ⺠The sensibility of the method is below the threshold of toxicity for tropane alkaloids.
