Abstract
												⺠Determination of safranal based on apolar solvent extraction followed by UV-Vis analysis for saffron routine quality control. ⺠Good correlation coefficient between GC and UV-Vis method. ⺠Saffron chloroform extract can be further used to detect the adulteration colourants.
