Abstract
⺠Ginger improved TNBS-induced colitis in mice. ⺠Zingerone, the phenolic component of ginger, ameliorated colitis induced by TNBS. ⺠Ginger and zingerone significantly affected NF-κB activity and IL-1β production. ⺠Ginger could be used as a dietary supplement to prevent and treat patients with IBD.
