Abstract
⺠Phenylpropanoid metabolic profiling in the peel of elicited citrus fruits has been conducted. ⺠Scoparone and two new phenolic compounds, citrusnin A and drupanin aldehyde, are involved in induced resistance. ⺠Fluorescent phenolic compounds showed the largest changes in elicited fruits. ⺠HPLC analysis revealed tissue-specific changes in some phenolics, such as chlorogenic acid, isorhoifolin and hesperedin.
