Abstract
⺠Potent antibacterial activity was observed on palm kernel cake protein hydrolysate. ⺠Palm kernel cake hydrolysate was purified using gel filtration chromatography. ⺠The purified fraction is a non-hemolytic, peptide-containing complex. ⺠The purified fraction has molecular mass around 2.4 kDa and high in lysine. ⺠The major component in purified fraction was proven to be lauric acid derivative.
