Abstract
⺠Examined antioxidant activity of honey, southern Africa. ⺠High antioxidant activity correlates with colour, polyphenolic and flavanoid content. ⺠Honey protects plasmid DNA and erythrocyte membrane against oxidative damage. ⺠Extra- and intracellular protection by honey against oxidative damage.
