Abstract
⺠Cathepsin L was purified from the skeletal muscle of blue scad (Decapterus maruadsi). ⺠Peptide mass fingerprinting was carried out to confirm the purified protein. ⺠It is firstly revealed that cathepsin L is less effective than MBSP in the degradation of myofibrillar proteins.
