Abstract
► Peltophorum pterocarpum plant parts exhibit free radical scavenging activity. ► P. pterocarpum plant parts also inhibit carbohydrate hydrolyzing enzymes. ► Its leaf extracts prevented polyol and advance glycated end product formation. ► Quercetin-3-O-β-d-Galactopyranoside is the active principle in the leaf extracts. ► Concentration of active principle in leaf extract was 18.2%.
