Abstract
⺠Peltophorum pterocarpum plant parts exhibit free radical scavenging activity. ⺠P. pterocarpum plant parts also inhibit carbohydrate hydrolyzing enzymes. ⺠Its leaf extracts prevented polyol and advance glycated end product formation. ⺠Quercetin-3-O-β-d-Galactopyranoside is the active principle in the leaf extracts. ⺠Concentration of active principle in leaf extract was 18.2%.
