Abstract
► We studied cactus berry fruit at different maturity stages and after storage. ► We assessed antioxidant activities of cactus berry phenols and vitamin C. ► Maturity and storage reduce phenolics, vitamin C and antioxidant activities. ► Beta cyanins increase as fruit matures and after storage. ► Due to the antioxidant properties cactus berries could contribute to health.
