Abstract
⺠Identification of fish species to counteract food fraud. ⺠This method is based on extraction of genomic DNA and PCR amplification of 5S rRNA gene. ⺠Due to its structure, the 5S rRNA is a very suitable target for fish species identification. ⺠This method could be performed also in mobile laboratories allowing on-site analysis.
