Abstract
⺠The analysis of chemotype of raw hazelnuts can reveal their geographic origin. ⺠Phenolics, fatty acid methyl esters and SDS-PAGE proteins fingerprint were evaluated. ⺠RAPD genotyping of hazelnut kernels permits to identify amongst different cultivars. ⺠Hazelnuts clustering was obtained applying Principal Component Analysis (PCA) on data sets. ⺠Chemotype or genotype analysis coupled to PCA permits the hazelnuts identification.
