Abstract
⺠A SPE-GC-FID method for MOSH determination in vegetable oils has been optimised. ⺠Of the three different SPE silica sorbents tested, silver silica gave the best results. ⺠Silver silica allows to retain interfering olefins without a derivatisation step. ⺠Activated aluminium oxide is an optional tool to eliminate endogenous n-alkane. ⺠The proposed method presents good performance characteristics.
