► Electrical discharges are applied on grape pomace for antioxidants polyphenols extraction. ► The effects of various electrical and diffusion operating parameters are studied. ► Electrical discharges increase polyphenols extraction up to a critical energy input. ► The combination of ethanol and temperature also improves the extraction yields.
