Abstract
⺠The molar ratio acetic acid to acetic anhydride of 1:1 gave the highest degree of substitution. ⺠The variation of the ratio acetic acid:acetic anhyride change the physical properties of starch acetate. ⺠Using microwaves radiations, iodine act as a good catalyst in solvent free condition.
