Abstract
⺠Use of bio-based containers as an alternative to the petroleum-based ones for bkb (blackberries). ⺠To explore the performance of a bio-based material as a packaging material for bkb. ⺠To find alternative packaging design to the current one to prolong bkb shelf life. ⺠Bkb in closed containers met the US standard No1 grade for more than 12 days at 3 °C. ⺠Both bkb cultivars demonstrated better physicochemical quality in the OPS container.
