Abstract
⺠Thanks to this study, it is showed that ESR analysis of the seed part of fig samples is not suitable for the detection of irradiated fig samples based on EN 1787 (2000) and EN 13708 (2001) standards. âºThe new detection methods were applied to the fig seeds to detect the irradiated figs. ⺠The examination of microwave saturation behaviours of the single ESR signal in fig seeds was suitable for the detection of irradiated fig samples ⺠The examination of thermal behaviours of the ESR singlet in fig seeds was not an important clue to radiation treatment. ⺠This is also the first detail study about the effects of temperature and post-irradiation time on radiation-induced free radicals in fig seeds.
