Abstract
► Values found for native fruits compared well with those for conventional fruits. ► Pindo palm and mandacaru-de-três-quinas showed high antioxidant activities. ► Antioxidant activity of mandacaru-de-três-quinas is attributed to phenolic compounds. ► Highest vitamin C content observed in mandacaru-de-três-quinas and araticu-do-mato. ► Brazilian fruits could become an attractive product for local agriculture.
