Abstract
⺠Squalene (1 g/kg/day) decreased triglycerides in apoE-ko mice hepatocytes. ⺠Mitochondrial hepatic proteomic analysis unveiled 18 proteins modified by squalene. ⺠Squalene action executes a complex regulation of mitochondrial protein expressions. ⺠Squalene-induced decrease in steatosis is related to ACADS and it could be a biomarker. ⺠MAT1A is increased by squalene administration.
