Abstract
⺠Global quantitative proteome study with comprehensive membrane proteome coverage. ⺠Aromatic compounds as carbon sources have substantial impact on bacterial physiology, going much beyond catabolic pathways. ⺠Several obvious differences in the proteome of protocatechuate-grown to previously analysed benzoate-grown C. glutamicum were discovered. ⺠Indications for global and local regulation mechanisms were found.
