► Animal model is used to study training impact on protein expression and carbonylation. ► Fast-twitch fibers muscle shows a decreased expression of several glycolytic enzymes. ► 13 proteins show an increased carbonylation level after training. ► The basal muscle proteins carbonylation pattern is analyzed.
