Abstract
⺠We performed the first exploratory LC-MS study of human urine in the context of febrile, complicated urinary tract infection. ⺠Multivariate data analysis revealed O-glycopeptides as the main UTI specific features. ⺠The identification of those features as O-glycosilated fibrinogen alpha chain fragments required a multi-MS platform approach. ⺠We suggest that these O-glycosilated fibrinogen alpha chain fragments could be possible markers of febrile UTI.
