Abstract
► Carboxydotrophic growth of hyperthermophilic archaeon Thermococcus onnurienus NA1. ► Global proteomic analysis of T. onnurienus NA1 by shotgun analysis. ► Identification coverage of T. onnurienus NA1 exceeds those of other global archaeal proteomic studies. ► More than 90% of hydrogenase gene clusters were expressed during CO culture. ► Hydrogen production is related with the expression of hydrogenase genes in the carboxydotrophic growth.
