Abstract
⺠Non-invasive sampling, modifed filter-aided sample preparation and MS analysis. ⺠Keratins, K1 and K10 were identified as major proteins of human skin. ⺠Most of the keratin methionine sites were partially oxidized in intact human skin. ⺠Met259, Met262, Met296, Met469 from K1 were the most susceptible sites to oxidation. ⺠Identified methionine residues as potential biomarkers of oxidative skin damage.
