Abstract
⺠We present a new labeling strategy for quantitative proteomics. ⺠The labeling is based on diethylation and can be done with 12C/13C or 1H/2H for mass pairing. ⺠The proposed labeling is universal, safer than other alternatives + easy to analyze. ⺠Labeling strategy tested on unicellular algae Ostreococcus tauri with herbicide (glufosinate). ⺠With herbicide, nitrogen assimilation goes down; oxidative stress + lipid metabolism go up.
