Abstract
⺠Three methods for reduction of serum abundant proteins with enrichment of small proteins and peptides were compared. ⺠Specifically, Differential Solubilisation (DS), Ultrafiltration, and Bio-Rad ProteoMiner Beads treatment were evaluated. ⺠DS allowed the identification of the highest number of peptides, enabling also the quantitative comparison of samples. ⺠Although with less efficiency compared to proteins, ProteoMiner Beads performed well in peptide enrichment. ⺠Ultrafiltration was probably affected by filter cloggings and requires higher sample amounts.
